Cooking is often a feast or famine thing, isn’t it? On one day you may feel master of the kitchen with your fine food coming out in abundance. On another speed and quickness rule the day. Here’s where an electric skillet with removable pan comes in. Picture it as the kitchen helper you didn’t know you needed–an appliance combining convenience with versatility.
For example, one Sunday morning when everyone was wanting pancakes (and sausage and eggs) you were half awake and totally unprepared to produce pansong. An electric skillet, however, can act like your own private chef. Turn it on and presto! You’re back to flippin’ flapjacks. When the madness is over you just unplug it, remove the pan and stick both in warm soapy water. Say goodbye to all scrubbing pains forever. Just detach one, rinse thoroughly (!) and presto chango!
Why stop there? Throw in some broth, deglaze the pan, slip in sliced vegetables of any kind, some protein, and you’ve got a fast stir-fry. Mercilessly I’ve done this with takeout. No matter what kind of eating you have in mind–whether this little marvel will provide a full meal or just warm tomorrow’s twin leftovers to a fare-Thee-well without leaving regret in one’s tummy-chee-Does reheating spaghetti in a microwave ever taste as good? Spoiler alert: no.
Yet beyond mere laziness–I mean efficiency–there’s something about an electric skillet which almost reeks of dependability. Temperature control means that no more of your famous grilled cheese sandwiches need to be casualties on the ocmmon culinary tern. It is as if the electric skillet murmurs sweet nothings to all your culinary wheezes emerges with perfect ease.
Not to be pushy, but if someone were to steal my favourite gadget I’d behave just like a little kid denied their ice cream. It’s the one appliance that almost anything can be done with. Have you ever tried to move (or clean) a machine with a big two-handles on the top? Sheer agony. But not this one. The way that it foulds up is as a picnic to poor man’s ears it’s just so wonderful.
And hey, let’s be honest–there’s a growing profusion of gadgets staking out prime real estate on your kitchen counter. Good advice: Give the electric skillet with a removable pan pride of place. Because, let’s face it too where else could anyone want to be in the home kitchen?
